Jumping the Triangle.

This really is getting silly. Ladies and gents I introduce you to the next new thing:

∆.  Yup. That’s what they are called. ∆. Now my natural inclination would be to call them ‘triangle’ but no. Apparently this symbol ∆ you can only type by pressing ‘alt-j’ on a mac. So everyone, including the band, are referring to them as Alt-j. Or just simply ∆. It’s all rather obtuse (not the triangle, that’s an isosceles) and frankly very bloody pretentious. I think we better just hear some music:

∆ - Matilda

∆ - Breezeblocks

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of the band’s music. In fact I was a big fan of their music 6months ago. When they were called Films. The name change is beyond me. It screams of attention seeking and when a band’s music is of such a high standard there really doesn’t seem to be the need to start being silly.

Maybe I’m just getting old. Maybe the kids want their bands to be named after symbols you can only type on a mac. Maybe that’s the future. Well if it is the future then bring it on. I’m going copyright all the wingdings characters and make a mint.

Tune in next week for an exclusive video from .
